Mit dem Begriff „Kulturlandschaft“ ist eine dauerhaft vom Menschen geprägte Landschaft gemeint (im Gegensatz zur „Naturlandschaft“ oder Wildnis).
Sie entsteht insbesondere durch die wirtschaftliche und siedlungsmäßige Nutzung der ursprünglichen Naturlandschaft, wovon mittlerweile fast die gesamte Erdoberfläche betroffen ist (im Guten wie im Schlechten).
Im Rahmen des Projektes „Kulturlandschaft“ widme ich mich der Dokumentation unterschiedlicher Aspekte dieser Gestaltung der Erde durch die Menschen wie z.B.:
Industrie- oder Wirtschaftslandschaft, Siedlungen, Infrastruktur, Landwirtschaft, Wahrzeichen, Landmarken, Rohstoffgewinnung, Parks & Freizeiteinrichtungen.
Man Made Landscape
The term „Man Made Landscape“ refers to a landscape that has been permanently shaped by humans (as opposed to a ‘natural landscape’ or wilderness).
It is created in particular through the economic and residential utilisation of the original natural landscape and now affects almost the entire surface of the earth (for better or for worse).
As part of this photgraphic project, I am dedicated to documenting different aspects of this shaping of the earth by humans such as:
Industrial or economic landscape, settlements, infrastructure, agriculture, landmarks, raw material extraction, parks & leisure facilities.
